TOPIC: PRAY FOR MISSIONARIES 2
📖 TODAY’S TEXT:
2 Corinthians 1: 10-13
🔑 KEY VERSE:
".. that ye strive together with me in you prayers to God for me; that I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints" (Romans 15:30-31).
🖊️ Evangel Daily Meal 31 July 2024 COMMENTARY
We are often at loss about what should constitute the topics of our prayers for missionaries. In our text today, the Apostle Paul’s prayer request to the Church in Rome and Corinth gives us some ideas on how and why we should keep praying for missionaries.
Let’s pray:
1. That Missionaries and their ministries be acceptable by the people to which they are sent – unbelievers.
2. That believers in the Land where they are ministering will give them right hand of fellowship.
3. That Lord will deliver them from the evil plots of the wicked and unbelievers.
Furthermore, we see Paul expressing great excitement for deliverance from life threatening hardships which he described as “deadly peril” and he testifies that it was sequel to the prayers of many.
Our last prayer today is both for the sent (Missionary) and the sender (the Individual or Church)
4. The Lord will deliver them both from hardship, especially in this economic crunch.

Heavenly Father,
I come to You in humility and repentance, acknowledging my sins and my need for Your grace. Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, who died for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life. I confess You as my Savior and Lord.
Forgive me, cleanse me with Your precious blood, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I turn away from my sinful ways and open my heart to You. Take control of my life and guide me in Your truth.
