10 God is always right and fair. He will not forget all the good things that you have done. You have shown that you love him very much, because you have helped the other believers. And you continue to help them as God’s servants.
11 But we very much want each of you to continue to trust God to the end. Show that you really want to serve him. Be sure that, in the end, you will receive all the good things that you hope for.
12 Then you will not be slow to learn. Instead, you will copy the example of those people who continue to trust God. They continue to be patient when trouble happens to them. People like that receive what God has promised to his people.
13 God made a promise to Abraham many years ago. God used the authority of his own name to show that his promise was true. He did that because there was nobody greater than God himself. His name showed that the promise was very serious.
14 God said to Abraham, ‘I will certainly bless you. I will give you many children and many, many grandchildren.’
15 Abraham waited patiently for a long time. In the end, he received what God had promised to give him.

One major thing that helps anybody to grow or make progress in every aspect of life is personal development. Anyone that desires change, improvement, success and progress must take personal development very serious.
In fact, such an individual must be intentional about it. Lack of personal development is known to be the cause of stagnancy, poverty and a life of no impact.
If you must move forward in life and touch lives positively, you must invest in personal development. It does not come cheaply.
That is why we are talking about investment. You need to pay the price. All great men and women of God who are doing amazingly well are working very hard to achieve their dreams.
One of the ways through which you can develop yourself spiritually, physically, economically, etc. is by reading. You must invest in books. Apostle Paul was an avid reader.
In the list of things he asked Timothy to bring to him were his parchments and books. Books help to expand your knowledge and increase your intelligence.

Apostle Paul worked hard to fulfil the calling of God upon his life. He did not take it with levity (1 Corinthians 9: 16). He understood the grave consequences of failing in his calling; so he never wanted to fail. Self-development involves other series of activities such as learning new skills, spiritual development, etc.
Father Abraham was a hardworking man. Slothfulness was never found in him. Genesis 12:5 says, “And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.”
The children of Abraham will do the works of Abraham as Jesus told the people in John 8:39. To make impact in life, you must invest in self-development.

1. Let every vision killer assigned against my destiny, die, in the Name of Jesus.

Heavenly Father,
I come to You in humility and repentance, acknowledging my sins and my need for Your grace. Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, who died for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life. I confess You as my Savior and Lord.
Forgive me, cleanse me with Your precious blood, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I turn away from my sinful ways and open my heart to You. Take control of my life and guide me in Your truth.
