If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy.
Job 36:11 (AMPC)
Dave and I regularly seek God’s guidance for handling people, circumstances, and specific situations. Our constant prayer is, “What should we do?” Weekly, numerous events require us to make God-driven decisions. If we disobey God on Monday, our week can be chaotic by Friday. We are determined to live in obedience.
Many people worry about God’s specific will for their lives, like choosing a job or making decisions. While God wants to give us direction, He is more concerned about our obedience to His general will, which we find in His Word—being thankful, content, displaying the fruit of the Spirit, and forgiving others.
If we don’t follow these guidelines, hearing His specific will becomes difficult. To hear God clearly and follow His will, prioritize knowing and obeying His general will by staying rooted in His Word.
Short Daily Devotional Prayer of the Day
Father, guide me in every decision and situation today. Help me to obey Your will and discern Your voice clearly, amen.
Prayer for Salvation
Heavenly Father, I humbly repent and seek Your grace. Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I confess You as my Savior and Lord. Forgive me, cleanse me, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Guide me in Your truth and take control of my life, amen.
