PROPHETIC WORD

MESSAGE

Speaking in tongues, as a supernatural spiritual gift, operates in two major dimensions. The first is the public gift of tongues, which is used in a corporate assembly and requires interpretation. The second is the private prayer language — speaking directly to God in the Spirit — which is available to every Spirit-filled believer for personal edification and spiritual strengthening.

A missionary once testified that he was speaking to a crowd in a foreign nation, and though he was speaking in a language unknown to him, the people were deeply stirred because he was speaking their dialect fluently. This is one of the miraculous dimensions of the gift of tongues — God can use it to bypass natural barriers and reach human hearts directly.

The prayer language of tongues, on the other hand, is a heavenly language — a direct line between your spirit and God. As Paul wrote, “he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God.” When you pray in tongues, you are speaking mysteries in the Spirit, mysteries that your natural mind cannot comprehend but your spirit fully understands. This is why praying in tongues is such a powerful tool for personal edification.

The believer who cultivates the habit of praying in tongues is one who is continually building himself up — growing stronger in faith, more sensitive to the Spirit, and more capable of receiving divine direction. This is why Jude 20 says, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”

Do not neglect this powerful gift. Use it daily. Pray in tongues in the morning, pray in the evening, and pray at all times. Your spirit will grow stronger, your faith will rise higher, and God will fill you with fresh revelation and power.

PRAYER POINTS

MORNING PRAYERS (7 Targets)

1. Father, purify my heart and spirit to flow effectively in the gift of tongues, in the name of Jesus.
2. O Lord, cleanse every spiritual pipe within me that tongues may flow freely, in the name of Jesus.
3. Holy Spirit, fill me afresh and stir up the gift of tongues within me, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING PRAYERS

1. O Lord, envelope my life and family in Your supernatural protection, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every power assigned to silence my prayer life, die now, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord, put a new song in my spirit and cause me to glorify You in tongues and worship, in the name of Jesus.
4. Holy Spirit, pour upon me a fresh infilling and let me speak in other tongues as You give utterance, in the name of Jesus.
