7 And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord commanded them: the Lord also accepted Job.
10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Another lesson to learn from Job is the power of forgiveness and intercession. Job did not experience any breakthrough even after the Almighty God had encountered him. His life was still the same until he prayed for his friends. Job probably had been nursing grudges and bitterness against his friends because they had falsely accused and misrepresented him in their discourse. Job had earlier called them miserable comforters. His friends had thought he was being punished for his wickedness. Job obviously was not happy with his friends. But God had to teach him how to forgive so as not to hinder his breakthrough. It was until Job accepted, forgave, and prayed for his friends that God also accepted him and then turned his captivity around.

Beloved, the reason some of us are still on the same spot in life might be that we have not forgiven certain people. Some of us still have hatred in our hearts toward some people. Some have vowed never to forgive certain folks because of what they have done to them. I understand that you are hurt, but you are hurting yourself more by keeping the person in your heart.
The person that hurt you might have obviously moved on, but you are the one punishing yourself by allowing bitterness that could halt your life’s journey. Why not, at this moment, allow the Holy Spirit to work upon your heart and let go of whatever has been done to you? Job was hurt deeply by his friends, but he had to let go so that he could enjoy his freedom. Your deliverance could be tied to this message, beloved.
You might need to pick up your phone now and call that person to tell them that you have forgiven them. Yours might be to go on your knees and pray for the person that hurt you. By all means, beloved, as you are reading this, let go of that feeling of hatred and allow God to fill your heart with love and peace. Forgive and watch how God will turn your life around. Shalom!
