MFM Devotional 27 July 2024 MESSAGE

Yesterday, we started looking at how family troubles can be handled effectively. We discussed the importance of knowing God and building a strong relationship with Him through His word.

Also, we looked at the role of love in the family. Still, the word of God, also helps to set us free from spiritual and physical family issues.

2 Timothy 3: 14-15 says, “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which can make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

This was Apostle Paul encouraging Timothy to continue in the way of his upbringing which is founded on the Holy Scriptures. Nothing will mould the destiny of anyone to fulfilment like the word of God, especially if it is learned at home from childhood.

When a family is established on the word of God, everyone is grounded in the word of God and looks to it for a solution to any problem they may be passing through.

It is difficult for someone who grew up in a home where the word is frequently shared to turn to other means in times of trouble.

The word of God teaches us how to dwell amicably with others and seek the common good. Our heavenly Father gives us help through His word.

Beloved, is your family going through challenges that appear insurmountable? Look to the word of God. The Bible says that the light shines in the darkness and darkness cannot defeat it (John 1: 5). The light that you need to solve your family problems is the word of God.

PRAYER POINTS:

EVENING
4. Let the word of God bear fruit in my family, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every enemy of the word of God in my family, die, in the name of Jesus.
